Who We Are

The GFWC Mount Dora Woman's Club, Inc. is a member of the GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Clubs and the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The club was organized in 1919, when a notice was placed in the Mount Dora Topic inviting all women interested in civic affairs to meet at Town Hall. Fifteen women responded. Today, we are a group of women, from Mount Dora and the surrounding towns and cities, dedicated to helping our community through volunteer activities and fund raising. The Club is a section 501(c)3) organization.
What We Do
OUR INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES COVER SIX AREAS OF CONCERN
GFWC Mount Dora Woman's Club, Inc. and its members are devoted to community service in the Central Lake County area. Each member has an individual volunteer passion (and sometimes several). Our members are active and involved at the Bay Street Theatre, the Ice House, the WT Bland Library, Cornerstone Hospice, Guardian ad Litem services, local food pantries, and homeless shelters, to name just a few. Together they organize events to raise funds for donations to local charities.
